Pope says that all religions provide path to God
SINGAPORE:
According to several news outlets including the Christian Post, the Pope has stated that all religions are a path to God. In the video recording of the event which took place in Singapore earlier this month, he goes on to state that all people are children of God. As this latest ecumenical interfaith outreach gains momentum, religious believers of many traditions around the world appear to be embracing the tone and message of the Vatican.
Islam in particular has presented numerous joint declarations with Pope Francis with the lates being the "Joint Declaration of Istiqlal 2024."
It remains to be seen however how devotees of those religions will respond as their doctrines invariably come into contact with church dogma.
It also remains to be seen how far the umbrella of the Pope's mission will extend. For example, will it also cover Wicca as it already includes the shamanic religions of Native America? Will it also include the Church of Satan, now recognized by the US government, will it be included in the basket of all religions mentioned by the Pope?
Biblical faithful worldwide are concerned that this may portend the beginning of the one world religion foretold in the book of Revelation.
